Description
I have taken the design for the Space Shuttle insignia and modified it to honor the seven astronauts who gave there lives in the pursuit of exploration and scientific achievement. Never forget the Challenger.
The design includes a black ribbon to honor the deceased, the mission patch and seven stars to represent each of the seven lost astronauts lost on mission STS-51-L (the "L" was added to the mission number by NASA after the loss)

I was a 15 day old newborn when the Challenger shuttle was lost on that fateful 1/28/1986.
