Tricell Incorporated was a pharmaceutical enterprise, prominent in the Global Pharmaceutical Consortium. It was a conglomerate of three organizations descended from Travis Trading. Its name was derived from the triumvirate of "cells" that formed it.

History

Founding/Dealing with Wesker
The three portions making up Tricell were the pharmaceutical cell, founded after herbs were collected from Africa, the trading cell, involved in product shipping, and the natural resources cell, known for using fossil fuels. The company was one of the more prominent members of the G.P.C., along with companies such as the Umbrella Corporation. Eventually, Umbrella would prove to be troublesome to the G.P.C., heavily involved in the business of Bio-Organic Weaponry. This practice would eventually prove to be the undoing of the company. Albert Wesker, an ambitious agent with insatiable power hunger, made sure that Umbrella toppled after betraying it on behalf of his other employer. He broke into the corporation's final stronghold in the Caucus and stole all of its data, planning to remake it as his own to lead the world into a new era. After his ordeal in Russia, in the year 2003, Wesker contacted Tricell and decided to secretly work with them.[1]
Wesker's plan was to go down the list of Umbrella's top rivals, Tricell included, to trade valuable viral samples in order to financially build his new Umbrella. His other superiors became suspicious of his actions, and were certain that Wesker had gotten into contact with Tricell. The rogue agent and corporation made a deal with one another: if Wesker could secure a sample of the newly discovered Las Plagas parasite, a genetically modified variant known as the "dominant species Plaga", then he would be greatly compensated and the finance would help in the building of his new Umbrella. Wesker's resources recovered from the Caucus outpost also allowed Tricell to form a B.O.W. trading section, which the pharmaceutical cell kept secret from the public much like Umbrella had. With help from Ada Wong and Jack Krauser (Ada was actually a double agent), Wesker plotted to steal a dominant species Plaga sample from Osmund Saddler and the Los Illuminados.

WilPharma Purchase

Ada succeeded in getting the dominant species Plaga sample, but brought it to a different organization than Wesker's, who she was truly loyal to. Despite this turn of events, Wesker managed to obtain a dead dominant species Plaga sample from the corpse of Jack Krauser and supplied Tricell with the subordinate and dominant Plaga samples. Tricell accepted these samples and greatly compensated Wesker for them, which suited his plans just fine. He then continued to deal with Umbrella's other rivals, but kept in contact with Tricell. Wesker was not the only useful outlet for expanding Tricell's B.O.W. division, however. At one point, a catastrophe concerning the WilPharma Corporation caused the company to go bankrupt. They had been exposed to be harboring samples of the G-virus due to the illegal actions of Head of Research, Frederic Downing. He was arrested, and Tricell offered to buy out WilPharma. Having no other option, they complied, and Tricell expanded further.
It was later shown that Tricell assasinated Senator Ron Davis and deleted all data from his computer concerning WilPharma. Tricell agents in biohazard-protective suits then went to the demolished WilPharma complex and scavaged the area for G-virus samples. One agent recovered a sample after finding the severed tail of the mutated Curtis Miller. After, in 2006, the whereabouts of Ozwell E. Spencer were discovered, and Wesker hunted him down at his clifftop castle somewhere in Europe. After learning of his origins and killing Spencer, Wesker decided to carry out Spencer's vision and evolve the human race through viruses to become superhuman, just as he had become long ago after faking his death. Capturing BSAA agent Jill Valentine after a battle, Wesker again got into contact with Tricell. This time, he partnered with Excella Gionne.

Kijuju/End

Wesker manipulated the ambitious Excella, who shared his opinions of the world. Both believed that humanity needed to be evolved and governmental leadership needed to be changed. Tricell would be a large part of this plot, though in the end was expendable. Wesker helped Excella climb through the company's ranks, and she eventually took the seat of power she craved: CEO of Tricell's African division. Excella was grateful of Wesker, and attracted to him. He merely used her to achieve his own ends, feeling nothing for her, and secretly having no intention of sharing his power over the world. Tricell had doubts about Excella's abilities, but Wesker helped her. Using his Las Plagas samples, and with assistance from Tricell, Wesker created the Type 2 Plagas and Type 3 Plagas, enhanced and vastly more effective weapons. He used these strains to create an army of Majini in the village of Kijuju.
The soldiers proved greatly useful, and the impressed leaders of Tricell let Excella keep her position. She and Wesker then created the center of their plans to evolve humanity: the Uroboros virus. An advanced version of the Progenitor virus, Uroboros used natural selection to choose "worthy" hosts to make superhuman. Wesker and Excella wanted to spread Uroboros throughout the world to bring about this process for the entire human race. They made their base in the reopened Umbrella Africa Research Center, and Tricell's operations spread throughout the landscape, as far as Kijuju and the Masrhlands, the latter of which were used to build a large oil refinary. Wesker and Excella also commisioned an assault bomber and ocean tanker at the pier behind the facility to ensure their plan to spread Uroboros succeeded. BSAA agents Chris Redfield and Sheva Alomar were sent in to investigate the strange events.

After a lengthy chase in pursuit of Irving and a mysterious masked and cloaked woman, Chris and Sheva slowly discovered Tricell's plans. Irving was eventually killed after mutating, and the two followed his accomplice to the old Umbrella facility. After finding out about the research projects, tracking down Excella, and discovering that Chris' lost partner, Jill, was in fact the masked woman under mind control, the two agents fought against Wesker and Jill. As Wesker and Excella escaped to their freighter, Chris and Sheva overpowered and saved Jill. They then gave pursuit, and at night searched the ship for their enemies while fighting the last of the Las Plagas creatures. Eventually, Wesker decided to turn on Excella, revealing that he never intended to share his power with her. Infecting her with Uroboros, he hoped that the resulting mutation would put an end to Chris and Sheva's meddling. The two agents managed to destroy the monstrosity before it could destroy the ship with a Tricell Satellite Laser Device.

Chris and Sheva gave pursuit to Wesker, and found him below the deck preparing to launch his bomber. After a lengthy battle, from the ship's deck, to the bomber in the air, and in an active volcano, Chris and Sheva defeated Wesker after taking away his powers with a viral serum, and killed the madman after he infected himself with Uroboros. With Tricell's B.O.W. industry exposed to the public, it is most likely that Tricell met a similar end as did Umbrella.
