Geisha of the Stars Nose Art Commission

A commission done for Shoguneagle shoguneagle.deviantart.com/ to be used on a craft that was rendered by HandofManos handofmanos.deviantart.com/ for Shoguneagle's story Patriot Girl. This is an exert he provided me with:

the setting takes place in an alternate future where the British Commonwealth and the United States unified post-World War II and expanded across most of the Earth (and a few centuries later, across the Solar System). A war between the Earth Commonwealth and the Coalition of the Solar System (colonies and settlements that rebelled against the Commonwealth) left Earth and most of the Solar System devastated, forcing humanity into exodus to other stars in search of new homes. Discovery and settlement of these new worlds (along with the discovery of faster-than-light travel) eventually banded most of humanity back into an Interstellar Commonwealth, which has established basic services and commerce between worlds, as well as provide for the common defense in the form of the Royal Aerospace Force, the Royal Navy/Marines, and the Interstellar Patrol. Lieutenant Yumi Hoshino is the main character of this setting, a member of a Special Aerospace Service attachment tied to the Interstellar Patrol, whose missions take her across the stars as she strives to bring criminals to justice, along with peace and stability to the Commonwealth.
